LESSON PLANNING

The ideal technique to present a successful and interesting lecture is through lesson plans. Lesson plans also aid in keeping us on track to make sure that our students meet their objectives in accordance with the course syllabus. Our teachers strive to follow the designed road map to achieve the best results.

PRE-PRIMARY

St. John’s High School believes in building a strong foundation of social, intellectual, and life skills for every child. By nurturing their natural curiosity, we create a joyful and engaging learning environment through fun, age-appropriate activities. Our dedicated staff provides individual attention and follows an innovative curriculum that supports motor, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
We focus on key learning areas:

 • Social skills like sharing, empathy, listening, and teamwork through role play and group activities.

 • Cognitive skills such as reading, memory, and concentration through storytelling, puzzles, and games.
• Motor skills including running, drawing, and painting through physical and creative tasks.
• Critical thinking through logical reasoning exercises.
Our pre-primary approach ensures that every child grows confidently, laying the foundation for a bright tomorrow.

PRIMARY

As students move from pre-primary to primary, we ensure a smooth transition by building on the strong foundation set in the early years. The primary stage is crucial, as children begin taking on more responsibility while preparing for secondary school. We strengthen their skills through a variety of engaging activities.

Vocabulary and language skills grow through storytelling, elocution, essay writing, and recitation. Creativity is nurtured through story-making, creative writing, art, and craft activities like singing, dancing, hand painting, and card making. Physical development is supported through sports such as swimming, skating, athletics, cricket, and football.

Students are also encouraged to participate in Olympiads and Spell Bees for academic exposure. Festival celebrations and picnics add joy and balance to their learning journey.

Through these diverse experiences, we prepare our learners confidently for the demanding years ahead.

SECONDARY

The secondary school years are a crucial stage where students take on greater responsibility, discover their interests, and shape their future paths. At St. John’s High School, we ensure they receive the right guidance, skill development, and exposure needed for this phase.

Building on their primary foundation, students explore new concepts, technologies, and possibilities. They develop essential life skills—critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving—through various skill-based activities. Our facilities include a mathematics lab, well-equipped science labs, and a geography lab to deepen subject understanding. Project-based learning helps students apply theory to real situations.

Students are encouraged to participate in Olympiads, Dr. Homi Bhabha exams, Spell Bees, and represent the school in zonal, district, state, and national competitions. Activities like camping and trekking further build life skills, while sports and creative pursuits ensure holistic development.

Through a balanced curriculum, we help students grow intellectually, socially, morally, and physically, preparing them confidently for future challenges.
